File handover

Change firm,
without losing a month

We take over your file from your previous firm — no service interruption, no double billing. Everything is scoped, dated, and you sign off at every step.

Why our clients move

The signals we hear most often in our first meetings.

signal_cellular_null

Remote firm

Platform only, slow replies, never the same person. Your file is processed by default, not by choice.

Opaque fees

Fees that creep up with each amendment, services billed on top without prior quote, surprises on the final invoice.

Lack of proactivity

Year-end accounts filed late, optimisations never mentioned, advice purely reactive. You learn about issues when they become urgent.

Expertise ceiling

You've grown, your firm hasn't. Audit, restructuring, fundraising, handover — you now need multi-skilled expertise under one roof.

Frequently asked

When in the year can I switch?

Ideally between two year-ends, but no point in the year is off-limits. We regularly handle mid-year handovers, even during filing season.

Can my previous firm hold me back?

No. The right to leave is free. Your firm must transmit your file within a reasonable delay — except for unpaid invoices (settle these in parallel).

Will I pay twice?

No. We align our engagement letter on your year-end or switch date so there is no overlap. You pay your old firm up to the switch, us from the switch.

How long does it take, end to end?

Count 3 to 6 weeks between your decision and the effective start. Most of the time is the old firm's transmission, not our setup.

How does it start?

A clear path, validated with you at every step. You stay in the driver’s seat, we handle the paperwork.

1

We take stock

A free first meeting: we look at your current situation, pinpoint what needs securing and quote the engagement clearly. No strings attached.

2

Engagement letter

We put it all in writing: scope, fixed or per-engagement fees, milestones and deliverables. You sign in full knowledge — never before.

3

Courtesy letter

As our professional ethics require, we write to your previous firm to organise the file handover. We handle this between peers: you have no awkward step to take. Typically about two weeks.

4

We take over

We collect your accounting, payroll and tax data — trial balances, ledgers, payroll states, in-flight filings — check them and bring them into our tools. Continuity is ensured, with no break and no loss of information.

Want to talk it through?

First meeting is on us: we look at your current file, no strings attached. You leave with a clear view — whether or not we end up working together.
